Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live Announced for August 22

The Game Awards showrunner Geoff Keighley and organizer Koelnmesse announced Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live is set for Tuesday, August 22. The upcoming event will be held on the day before Gamescom 2023 opens its doors. 

Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live will feature new game announcements, gameplay footage, trailers, and updates on existing games. Geoff Keighley will host the show on August 22, and the expected runtime is one and a half to two hours. On August 23, Gamescom 2023 will opens its doors to attendees. 

“Get ready! Gamescom: Opening Night Live returns live on Tuesday, August 22 from Koelnmesse in Germany,” Geoff Keighley said on Twitter. “Excited to be back in Cologne with the fans and industry, streaming video game news directly to you.”

Geoff Keighley will also host the Summer Game Fest 2023 Showcase on June 8 at 3 p.m. EDT. The showcase will be held from the YouTube Theater in Inglewood, California. Summer Game Fest 2023 will feature new game announcements, gameplay footage, trailers, and updates on existing games just like Gamescom 2023: Opening Night Live.

Gamescom 2023 takes place from August 23 to 27 at Koelnmesse in Cologne, Germany.
