    Sword Art Online: Last Recollection ‘Story & Gameplay’ Trailer Released

    The culmination of the Sword Art Online game series.

    Bandai Namco released a new trailer for Sword Art Online: Last Recollection highlighting the new action RPG’s story and gameplay. The new trailer provides an in-depth look into what’s to come in this climatic Sword Art Online title. 

    According to the Sword Art Online: Last Recollection trailer description, Kirito and his friends will battle against forces of the Dark Territory in a brand-new story. This story reimagines the events of the War of the Underworld, acting as the culmination of the Sword Art Online game series. The game will feature over 40 playable characters and several unique endings. 

    While waiting on the release of Sword Art Online: Last Recollection, players may catch up on the events of Sword Art Online: Alicization Lycoris. The Nintendo Switch version recently received the 3.0.1 update and Blooming of Matricaria DLC, bringing parity between all versions. A Nintendo Switch version of Sword Art Online: Last Recollection has not been announced, however.

    Lastly, Sword Art Online: Last Recollection launches October 5 in Japan and October 6 worldwide for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.
