During AnimeJapan 2023, Type-Moon and Aniplex announced Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn premieres on July 2 TOKYO MX and BS11 in Japan. The anime special was delayed from its previous winter 2022 release window due to production issues. However, fans around the world will soon have the opportunity to check out the premiere.
Prior to the July 2 broadcast, a Fate/strange Fake: Whispers of Dawn world premiere will be held in Los Angeles. Further details about the worldwide premiere were not revealed, but a new trailer was unveiled at AnimeJapan 2023. The latest trailer reveals the aforementioned premiere date for the Japanese broadcast.
Fate/strange Fake was originally an April Fools joke in 2008 by author Ryōgo Narita, but the work became a fully-fledged light novel series in 2015. The series follows the events of the False Holy Grail War, an imperfect copy of the Third Holy Grail War. The False Holy Grail War features various Masters and Servants that are “true” or “false.”
