The FFXIV x Puma Collection is almost here! In collaboration with Square Enix, Sportswear company Puma will launch their Final Fantasy XIV x Puma Collection on March 15 on their website and in select regions, while it won’t be until March 25 that the entire collection’s merchandise reaches North American stores. The lineup will include 17 apparel items, such as T-shirts, hoodies, sweatpants, shoes, and hats.
Background On FFXIV
Following its launch back in 2010, Final Fantasy XIV was considered to be a failure as it received various criticisms for its apparent lack of polish and its overall fumbled release. That’s no longer the case, as the most recent expansion, Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker, saw players storming Hydaelyn in large quantities. The game’s ongoing success caught the attention of Puma. Who is helping the MMORPG create real-world cosmetics for its vast fan base.
Purpose of the Collaboration
The collaboration is being used to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the re-launch of Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. The campaign’s tagline is “A Wardrobe Reborn.” The designs take inspiration from the duality of Light and Dark. At the same time, imagery from the world of Final Fantasy XIV combines with “PUMA DNA” to deliver a heightened aesthetic.
