The Pokémon Company announced the long-awaited Pokémon Sleep mobile game launches in summer 2023 for Android and iOS. This new game allow players to experience a new Pokémon journey every morning after a good night’s rest.
Pokémon Sleep brings players to a small island where the giant sleeping Pokémon, Snorlax, resides alongside Professor Neroli. Professor Neroli is a researcher that studies how Pokémon sleep on this island. Those who play this new game will be studied by the Professor as well, while Snorlax attracts Pokémon with similar sleep habits.
Players begin by tapping start in the game, setting a wake-up alarm, and setting the phone down close by before going to sleep. The new game will analyze the player’s sleep in various metrics to categorize the player as one of three sleep types: dozing, snoozing, and slumbering. Pokémon that sleep similarly to the player will gather around Snorlax in the game.
Pokémon GO Plus +
Alongside the release window announcement for Pokémon Sleep, The Pokémon Company revealed the new Pokémon GO Plus + accessory. This new accessory uses Bluetooth Low Energy technology to link with smartphone apps for use in Pokémon GO and Pokémon Sleep.
In Pokémon GO, the Pokémon GO Plus + enables players to throw Poké Balls automatically. In Pokémon Sleep, players can use the device to track their sleep in conjunction with their smartphones. Players who link the Pokémon GO Plus + accessory to Pokémon GO gain a special bonus: Snorlax with a nightcap.
Lastly, Pokémon GO Plus + launches on July 14, 2023 worldwide.
