Quinton Flynn, Voice of Raiden, Tells Fans to “Stayed Tuned for Things to Be Announced in the Coming Weeks”

The voice actor behind Raiden teases fans.

Quinton Flynn has started to tease something in relation to Metal Gear Solid. In a reply to one of his tweets, a fan noted that the 10th anniversary of Metal Gear Rising is next month. Another Twitter user replied under that, stating “Perhaps a METAL GEAR RISING 2 along with the rest of the upcoming METAL GEAR showcase might just make it?”. Quinton Flynn replied to this tweet, stating “Stayed tuned for things to be announced in the coming weeks”, alongside a sly winking face emoji.

What does this mean? Well, with all of the Metal Gear remake rumors swirling around, it does seem to hint that we might be getting some information on the future of the beloved franchise soon. The most interesting part about this entire thing is the time period of the “coming weeks”. Could we really be getting information so soon? We’ll just have to wait and find out, but considering how long the rumors have been around, we hope this is it.

The rumors first began in 2021, with multiple reports stating that remakes of the Metal Gear Solid titles were inbound. This continued in 2022, with specific rumors stating the remake was going to be of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater.

Back in 2019, we had the opportunity to interview Quinton Flynn. While our interview mainly focused on how he got into voice acting and other roles of his, he did mention that the first game he acted in that he tried to play was Metal Gear Solid 2. He is best known for his roles as Axel in Kingdom Hearts and Raiden in Metal Gear Solid.
