Fire Emblem Engage: Is It a Mainline Game?

The latest entry of the series has lots of questions surrounding it.

With the release of Fire Emblem Engage fast approaching, many of you might be curious if the latest title in the Fire Emblem series is mainline or not. The new entry will see Alear, the main character, travel across the world in order to gain the power of the Emblems, which are basically heroes from the past. With so many fans excited about the title, it could be important whether Engage is a mainline title or not for some.

Is Fire Emblem Engage a Mainline Title?

While there is not a true mainline “designation” for Fire Emblem titles, Engage is what would be considered mainline if there is one. Generally, all Fire Emblem games are mainline titles, with the exception of a few titles.

These exceptions are mainly the Fire Emblem Warriors series of spinoffs, which are developed in collaboration with Koei Tecmo. There are two Warriors entries, Fire Emblem Warriors and Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.

The recently released overview trailer showcases all kinds of features and characters you can expect to find in Fire Emblem Engage.

Engage is considered by many to be one of the best games released in the month of January. Stay tuned to Final Weapon for extensive guide coverage at launch!
