    AMD Reveals Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs at CES 2023

    CES 2023 brings new AMD hardware to the forefront.

    During the AMD CES 2023 Keynote, the company revealed its high-performance line of Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs. These new Ryzen CPUs launch in February 2023 worldwide starting with the flagship Ryzen 9 7950 X3D CPU.

    The Ryzen 9 7950 X3D CPU is the highest performance X3D chip in the Ryzen 7000 series. AMD touts the Ryzen 9 7950 X3D CPU as the “ultimate hardware for gamers and creators” with 16 cores and 32 threads. The flagship CPU comes with 144 MB of L2 + L3 Cache with a 120 W TDP. Ryzen 9 7950 X3D CPU boosts up to 5.7 GHz from its 4.2 GHz base clock.

    AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs

    AMD’s second highest performing Ryzen 7000 X3D CPU is the Ryzen 9 7900 X3D, one of the company’s new “ultimate gaming” processors. The 12-core, 24-thread chip includes 140 MB of L2 + L3 Cache with a 120 W TDP. Ryzen 9 7900 X3D CPU boosts up to 5.6 GHz from its 4.4 GHz base clock.

    AMD’s “ultimate gaming processor” to replace the 5800 X3D is the 7800 X3D. The 8-core, 16-thread CPU features 104 MB of L2 + L3 Cache with an identical 120 W TDP to the rest of the X3D product stack. The Ryzen 7 7800 X3D CPU boosts up to 5.0 GHz from its “4.X” base clock (Thanks, The Verge).

    Pricing and an exact release date for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs were not revealed at CES 2023. However, AMD is expected to share more details about these chips soon so stay tuned.
