AMD revealed a new 65W series of Ryzen 7000 CPUs during its official CES 2023 keynote on January 4, 2023. These new Ryzen CPUs launch on Tuesday, January 10 starting with the Ryzen 5 7600 at $229.
The Ryzen 9 7900 CPU is the highest performance 65 W CPU AMD has ever developed with 12 cores and 24 threads. Ryzen 7900 CPU comes with 76 MB of cache with a 65 W TDP and boost clock of 5.4 GHz. Starting January 10, PC builders and enthusiasts may purchase the new Ryzen 9 7900 CPU for $429 at retail.
AMD’s second highest performing Ryzen 7000 CPU in the “non-X” product stack is the Ryzen 7 7700. The 8-core, 16-thread chip includes 40 MB of cache with a 65 W TDP and boost clock of 5.3 GHz. Ryzen 7 7700 CPU will be available for $329 at retail.

During CES 2023, AMD also revealed the ultra high-performance line of Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs. These new chips launch in February 2023. Pricing and an exact release date for the upcoming AMD Ryzen 7000 X3D CPUs were not revealed at CES 2023. AMD is expected to share more details about these chips soon so stay tuned.
