Melty Blood: Type Lumina Reveals DLC Characters The Count of Monte Cristo and Ushiwakamaru

Servants from Fate/Grand Order join the fray.

Type-Moon announced a major free update for Melty Blood: Type Lumina launches December 15 featuring free DLC characters The Count of Monte Cristo and Ushiwakamaru.

The upcoming December update adds the two DLC characters, new battle stages, ten remastered Melty Blood: Actress Again music tracks, four new color palettes and new character scenarios. Additionally, the new update includes the long-awaited Boss Rush mode with an original story written by Kinoko Nasu. Fans may also play Melty Blood: Type Lumina with French, Spanish, and Brazilian Portuguese support starting December 15.

Edmond Dantes, also known as The Count of Monte Cristo, joins from the popular Fate/Grand Order mobile RPG. Fans may recognize his design by Danganronpa series and Akudama Drive artist Rui Komatsuzaki. Although Dantes is from another game, he’s fought a different version of Roa in the past, connecting the two characters to Melty Blood: Type Lumina.

Ushiwakamaru, the second DLC character in the December 15 update, also hails from Fate/Grand Order. She is the female incarnation of Minamoto-no-Yoshitsune, the legendary Genpei war samurai general. Like Dantes, Melty Blood: Type Lumina players may take advantage of her abilities from Fate/Grand Order.

Type-Moon plans to share character profiles and command list for the new Melty Blood: Type Lumina DLC characters at a later date. Lastly, Melty Blood: Type Lumina is available now for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam worldwide.
