James Stevenson, the Community Director of Insomniac Games, appears to potentially be teasing something related to Spider-Man 2. This afternoon, he tweeted out a GIF of Peter and Miles, which appeared in the initial trailer for Spider-Man 2.

Additionally, the voice actor for Miles Morales, Nadji Jeter, recently released a video on his Instagram, stating “We’re gonna end the year off right with y’all” while wearing motion capture gear.

While it is not exactly clear what either of these is referring to, multiple other Insomniac Games employees have started cryptic tweeting as well. There are two weeks left before employees will be home for the holidays, meaning that if any news comes before 2023, it will be within these next two weeks.

Spider-Man 2 is the sequel to 2018’s Marvel’s Spider-Man and 2020’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Both games were released exclusively on PlayStation at launch and released this past year on Steam. The original reveal trailer for the sequel teased Venom, who is set to make his debut in this title. Alongside Venom, Kraven the Hunter is also set to appear as the other main villain in the game. It was originally revealed last September at the 2021 PlayStation Showcase.

Could this be leading to Spider-Man 2 news before the end of the year? It is anyone’s guess, however, with the number of subtle teases going on, we would not be shocked if something dropped before the clock strikes 2023.
