US NPD results for the month of November 2022 reveal PlayStation 5 is the best selling console of the month in dollar and unit sales.
According to US NPD executive director Mat Piscatella, strong hardware performance during the month was driven by a significant increase in PlayStation 5 volume compared to November 2021. The console led overall sales this past November while the Nintendo Switch and Xbox Series X|S came in second and third place respectively. PlayStation 5 is the best selling console in dollar sales for 2022, and Nintendo Switch is the best selling console in unit sales for the year.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II was the best selling game of the month once more, continuing its momentum from this past October. God of War Ragnarok, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, and Sonic Frontiers are some of the best selling games in November 2022 alongside Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II. Accessory wise, the PlayStation 5 DualSense Wireless Controller (Galactic Purple) was the best-selling accessory of November in dollar sales.
Nintendo Switch led dollar sales and unit sales for most of 2022 before PlayStation 5 supply increased dramatically. PlayStation 5 leads dollar sales and unit sales for the fourth consecutive month as of November 2022.
