As of this morning, PEGI has rated Borderlands 3 for Nintendo Switch. This rating includes multiple versions of the game, including the standard edition, Director’s Cut, Designer’s Cut, and all available DLC.
Previously, the game was rated for Nintendo Switch, however, it was apparent that the rating was an error. A rating popped up in 2021 that was taken down, with 2K claiming it was an error and the game was not headed to Switch. In 2020, Doctre81 initially spotted a job listing that hinted at Borderlands 3 is in development for Nintendo Switch. It has been a long time coming and seems that fans won’t have to wait much longer to bring this fantastic experience on the go.
2022 has been a packed year for Borderlands fans. This past Spring, crossplay was added in a new update to Borderlands 3 across all platforms. Additionally, a brand new Tales from the Borderlands, titled New Tales from the Borderlands, was released across all major platforms, including Nintendo Switch. Borderlands 3 is available across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. An announcement time for the Switch version is unknown, however, we could see it popping up in next week’s showing of The Game Awards.
