The latest issue of Famitsu reveals that Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten will receive multiple updates. Some of the updates will refine NPC faces in the Utawarerumono prequel title.
According to Aquaplus producer Naoya Shimokawa, DLC is not planned for Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten. However, multiple updates are in the works including a patch that will refine NPC faces in Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten. Originally, Aquaplus intended to decrease overall processing load by reducing asset quality of NPCs. The PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) versions do not need this reduction since the available hardware can handle intensive loads.
The Famitsu interview excerpt is available below via Noisy Pixel:
Interviewer: Will there be any downloadable content or update patches for Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten?
Naoya Shimokawa: We have no DLC plans, but we have some update patches currently in the works. In particular, after many users commented about the NPC faces, we will be refining them in future patches. The reason we did not do so initially was to reduce the processing load required for the game, but since the Steam and PlayStation 5 versions do not suffer from that hardware strain, we will be able to implement it.
Monochrome Mobius: Rights and Wrongs Forgotten is available now for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 in Japan, and the PC (Steam) version is available now worldwide. Utawarerumono fans may also look forward to visual novel spin-off Gizoku Tantei Nosuri for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4.
