Xbox head wants Call of Duty playable across different screens.

Microsoft expressed its interest once more in bringing the Call of Duty franchise to Nintendo Switch according to the latest remarks by Xbox CEO Phil Spencer.

Spencer states he would like to see Call of Duty playable on many different screens including Switch according to Tom Warren. Microsoft’s intends to treat Call of Duty like Minecraft, implying that both franchises would continue to be multi-platform.

Call of Duty specifically will be available on PlayStation,” Spencer said on WSJ Live. “I’d love to see it on the Switch, I’d love to see the game playable on many different screens. Our intent is to treat Call of Duty like Minecraft.”

Microsoft’s Activision Blizzard deal must finalize before the company pursues it’s multiplatform approach, however. It’s clear that the relationship between Microsoft and Nintendo continues to be strong.
