NIS America revealed new details about the upcoming PS5 release of Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana including performance modes.
According to NIS America, Ys VIII: Lacrimosa of Dana runs at 120 frames-per-second in the 1080p performance mode. At 4K resolution, the game runs at 60 FPS. The PS5 version features faster load times, higher-resolution textures, greater draw distance, and better shadows.
The PS5 version’s trophy list is separate from the PS4 version. Further, upgrades are not supported from the PS4 version to the PS5 version due to specific DLC. Cross-saves are not supported as well, and the PC co-op mode is not included. Currently, there are no plans to bring the PS5 version’s DLC to other platforms (Thanks, NoisyPixel).
