Valkyrie Elysium update adds ‘Hilde’s Vengeance’ mode, new difficulty settings, and Seraphic Gate in November

Major update announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022.

Square Enix and Soleil announced Valkyrie Elysium will receive a major update in early November featuring new difficulty settings, “Seraphic Gate,” and the new “Hilde’s Vengeance” mode. The new Valkyrie Elysium update will be available with the PC version at launch.

Here’s an overview of the new content via Gematsu:

    • “Hilde’s Vengeance” – A new mode in which you play as Hilde, which offers a new action experience compared to playing as the Valkyrie, including shadow attacks, Hilde’s dedicated skill tree, and more.
    • Seraphic Gate – High difficulty time attack battles unlocked after clearing the main story. Each tier restricts the weapons and skills that can be used, and has special rewards for clearing every battle.
    • New Difficulty Settings: “Very Hard / Valkyrie” – The new difficulties “Very Hard” and “Valkyrie,” which are for players who want to enjoy a more difficult level of action.

Valkyrie Elysium releases September 29 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. Lastly, the PC (Steam) version releases November 11.
