Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night postponed due to production delays

    Coronavirus pandemic effects continue.

Aniplex and SAO-P Project announced the upcoming Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night movie has been postponed.

Sword Art Online Progressive: Scherzo of Deep Night was postponed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in Japan and multiple production delays. As a result, the anime movie no longer releases on September 10 in Japan. Additionally, the movie’s original soundtrack release has been delayed.

The August 24 screening event has been cancelled following the announcement of the delay. A refund period is set for August 25 through September 14. The refund covers the full ticket cost and a partial fee. However, certain payment fees will not be refunded. Advance tickets and movie cards may still be used for the time of new release.

Lastly, Aniplex plans to announce a new release date through SNS and the official website.
