Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector’s Edition pre-orders delayed in Europe due to “unforeseen logistical challenges”

Collector's Edition contents to be sold as a separate purchase.

Nintendo announced Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector’s Edition pre-orders are delayed to a later date in Europe due to “unforeseen logistical challenges.”

The company will offer the Collector’s Edition contents as a separate purchase through the My Nintendo Store in Europe. These contents include the steelbook case, soft cover concept art book, and the outer box packaging. The game is not included with the separate purchase of Collector’s Edition contents.

Pre-orders are expected to open in September 2022. However, the Collector’s Edition items will be shipped and delivered sometime this fall. Players in the region may sign-up for emails regarding the pre-orders here. Fortunately, players may also purchase the Standard Edition to play at launch as intended.

Here’s the official statement released by Nintendo:

Due to unforeseen logistical challenges, we are unable to open pre-orders for the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Collector’s Edition before the game launches on July 29th. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
To give customers the flexibility to purchase and enjoy the game at launch, we will now be offering the contents of the Collector’s Edition (soft cover concept art book, steel case and outer box packaging) as a separate purchase at a price that does not include the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 software.
This means you can buy the Xenoblade Chronicles 3 game when it launches on July 29th, and have a chance to pre-order the Collector’s Edition contents on My Nintendo Store later in September.
Please note: The contents of the Collector’s Edition (Nintendo Switch SteelBook® case, softcover concept art book and outer box packaging) will be delivered separately at a later date (expected delivery timing: autumn 2022). All items will be shipped with free delivery.

Standard Edition pre-orders and Special Edition pre-orders in North America around the world remain unaffected. Nintendo will share more details at a later date. Lastly, Xenoblade Chronicles 3 releases on July 29 for Nintendo Switch worldwide.
