Nintendo acquires visual content company Dynamo Pictures

Nintendo entered an agreement to acquire Tokyo-based visual content company Dynamo Pictures, and the acquisition is expected to close by October 3.

Dynamo Pictures will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Nintendo to strengthen the planning and production of visual content, Nintendo said. The visual content includes CG animation.

According to Nintendo, Dynamo Pictures will rebrand to Nintendo Pictures to focus on Nintendo intellectual properties. The acquisition is expected to have only a minor effect on Nintendo’s results for the current fiscal year.
