BitSummit unveiled its game selection for the upcoming BitSummit X-Roads two-day event, and the company announced Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida joins the special guest lineup.
Yoshida will host special interview sessions with Lost Epic developer oneoreight and Goat Simulator 3 developers Coffee Stain North. Additionally, BitSummit X-Roads features special guests such as former Sony Japan Studio talent Masami Yamamoto and Raw Fury’s Gordon Van Dyke.

The complete roster of the BitSummit X-Roads Indie Game Selection is now available on the BitSummit website. Gamers can now get a preview of the 89 diverse titles from Japan and across the globe that will be playable in Kyoto next month. These include a mix of award-winning, critically-acclaimed games alongside soon-to-be-discovered gems. BitSummit X-Roads selections will be highlighted on multiple live streams through BitSummit’s social channels, Steam, and more.
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s, Shuhei Yoshida (or, as he is known online, ‘Yoshi P’), hosts two intimate developer chats at BitSummit X-Roads, one with Tokyo-based indie developer, oneoreight (Earth Wars, Lost Epic), and the with Goat Simulator, Goat Simulator 3 and Sanctum series devs, Coffee Stain North, offering an international perspective on game development.
Shueisha’s producer, Masami Yamamoto (formerly of Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Japan Studio), introduces highly anticipated titles, Captain Velvet Meteor: The Jump+ Dimensions, The Tower -To the Bottom-, and ONI: Road to be the Mightiest. Shueisha’s Game Creators CAMP continues the popular Game BBQ series with participation from past BBQ contest winners, Acrobatic Chirimenjako, and Play Indie Game Festival 2021 winners, Hakababunko.
Popular U.S. publisher, Devolver Digital announces a BitSummit exclusive gameplay reveal for Gunbrella, with content creator, HighGai. Additionally, Raw Fury’s CEO, Gordon Van Dyke, will join a discussion with X-Roads co-host, Layer-Q, on stage at BitSummit to talk about the development of the Kingdom series and more.

Hosting BitSummit X-Roads is returning MC, J-mon, a bilingual ambassador of indie games based in Japan, joined this year by TV announcer and game event veteran, Ai ‘Aichi’ Yokomachi, and indie game streamer, Layer-Q, who will introduce all 89 selected games throughout the entire weekend.
Lastly, BitSummit X-Roads runs from August 6 through August 7 in Kyoto, Japan.
