    KonoSuba Season 3 and Megumin prequel anime officially announced

    Nearly one year after the sequel anime was confirmed for production, Season 3 of KonoSuba: God’s Blessing on This Wonderful World! was officially announced. The official website was updated with a new key visual depicting Kazuma, Megumin, Aqua, and Darkness.

    Alongside KonoSuba season 3, a TV anime adaptation of Megumin prequel novels KonoSuba: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! was announced. Both anime are produced at Studio Drive with directors Takaomi Kanasaki and Yujiro Abe. In addition, composer Makoto Uezu and character designer Koichi Kikuta return.

    A premiere date for both anime projects were not announced. Currently, KonoSuba Seasons 1 and 2 are available to watch across streaming services such as Crunchyroll.

    After a traffic accident, Kazuma Sato’s disappointingly brief life was supposed to be over, but he wakes up to see a beautiful girl before him. She claims to be a goddess, Aqua, and asks if he would like to go to another world and bring only one thing with him. Kazuma decides to bring the goddess herself, and they are transported to a fantasy world filled with adventure, ruled by a demon king. Now Kazuma only wants to live in peace, but Aqua wants to solve many of this world’s problems, and the demon king will only turn a blind eye for so long…
