Falcom shared new details for upcoming Trails JRPG, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN-! The new information focuses characters Celis Ortesia, Rion Balthazar, Altera, and Grendel Zolga. Read up on all the details below, courtesy of Gematsu:
Celis Ortesia (voiced by Fairouz Ai)
Age: 27
Height: 160cm
Organization: Dominion No. 4 of the Gralsritter of the Septian Church
Weapon: Large Templar Sword
“Well, aren’t you a good soul? I’ll listen to your confessions if you have any.”
Dominion No. 4 of the 12 who lead the Gralsritter of the Septian Church.
While she may be petite and have the appearance of a child, she also has a quarrelsome temperament, glaring at anybody who she doesn’t like, and grinning menacingly at whoever she deems to be a worthy opponent.
She wields a large Templar Sword the size of her body and specializes in aggressive offense, having once received combat guidance from Bergard Zeman as his disciple.
She was initially skeptical of Van, Bergard’s “secret disciple,” but through the battles against the mafia organization Armata and Pandemonium Edith, she has come to show some understanding.
Rion Balthazar (voiced by Souma Saito)
Age: 25
Height: 174cm
Organization: Dominion No. 11 of the Gralsritter of the Septian Church
Weapon: Rapier Templar Sword
“Long time no see…. to you as well, Van, who happens to be almost-wanted because of a certain ‘beastly doppelganger.’”
Dominion No. 11 of the 12 who lead the Gralsritter of the Septian Church.
While he appears to be an eloquent and friendly young man, he shows a ruthless side in combat.
He wields a rapier-style Templar Sword and specializes in attacks that pierce his opponents’ vitals. Like Celis, he received combat guidance from Bergard Zeman as his disciple.
He is currently operating in the Republic as Celis’ partner, and is said to be investigating and collecting ancient relics called “Artifacts” as a traveling priest.

“Consume everything! Shard erosion—Boot the Grendel!!”
A red, fairy-type Hollow similar in appearance to Van’s Hollow Core AI Mare.
Like Mare, she seems to have somehow gained autonomy, but is more arrogant, has a bigger ego, and tends to look down on humanity.
She resonates with the Eighth Genesis possessed by a mysterious man in a black coat and hat, and with a vast number of shards can transform into Grendel-Zolga. However, it is unclear whether this follows the same process as Mare’s Grendel transformation.
She apparently has an intense discomfort towards Van’s Grendel and Mare…
Grendel-Zolga
The reddish-black transformed state of a mysterious man in a black coat and hat, achieved through the Hollow Core Altera.
With a physique a size larger than Van’s Grendel, Grendel-Zolga launches brutal attacks from its ferocious build. While it is believed to be the culprit who slaughtered the Central Intelligence Department’s Gamma Squad, its objective and intentions are completely unknown.
There are also a number of other unexplained points concerning the mysterious man, such as the fact that he is somehow connected to the last Genesis sought out by Agnes, and that he is partnered with the Hollow Core Altera.
The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki releases on July 28th for PS5 in Japan. Lastly, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki II -CRIMSON SiN- releases this fall in Japan for PS4 and PS5.
