It looks like Gex could be making a comeback soon as Square Enix filed a new trademark for the platformer in Japan (Thanks, @renka_schedule)! The Gex trademark was initially filed on February 7th and made public a few weeks later. This is the second trademark with the previous being filed last year in Europe. For now, fans who want to see a return of the green icon have to wait and see if Square Enix has any plans in store.
