Call of Duty: Modern Warfare sequel, “new Warzone experience” release in 2022 with a new engine

Activision Blizzard and Infinity Ward announced that a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (2019) sequel and new Warzone experience release later this year. Infinity Ward is leading the charge on both games in a new engine. As a result, both games have been developed from the ground up. The developers promise that Warzone will be a “massive evolution” of the battle royale genre with an “all-new playspace and a new sandbox mode”. More details are coming later this year.
