The Switch’s reign of dominance in the Japanese market continues to grow. Famitsu reported the top 30 best selling games at retail in Japan this past week and Switch dominated the entire chart. All 30 of those games were Switch games like Minecraft, The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II Kai, NEO: The World Ends With You and much more. It’s the first time a single console dominated the charts since November 1988 with the Famicom. With more consoles and games across the industry, it’s a harder feat to achieve in the modern era. The Switch continues to shatter records as it approaches the 100 million mark. Over 20 million of those consoles are in Japan alone.
