    PS5 system software update 2.0-0.4.00.00 out now for beta users, includes M.2 storage support and 3D audio support for TV speakers

    Sony released new beta firmware today for PS5! Update 2.0-0.4.00.00 is rolling out now for beta users on PS5. The new update includes unlocked support for the M.2 storage slot. Beta users can install a M.2 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD into the PS5 ranging from 250 GB to 4 TB. Additionally, 3D audio is now supported through TV speakers! Settings are now available to fine tune the 3D audio experience to a user’s TV and room. Sorting PS4 and PS5 games in the console is also much easier now with the new update. Different versions of the same game will now appear on the home screen, allowing players to sort or delete undesired versions easily. The update should roll out to all PS5 users in the near future.
