Naoki Yoshida says Japanese voice recording for Final Fantasy XVI will finish soon, English voice overs were prioritized

    Published:

In a recent Washagana TV broadcast, Naoki Yoshida from Square Enix shared a few new tidbits for Final Fantasy XVI! According to Yoshida, Japanese voice recording will be caught up soon for the game. Square Enix prioritized English voice overs for FFXVI and “was particular about the cast” for the game. Additionally, full facial motion capture is being used for cutscenes this time around. Motion capture for the game is another reason why English voice overs took precedent over Japanese voice overs.

Lastly, Final Fantasy XVI is coming to PS5 in the near future. Stay tuned at Final Weapon for the latest Japanese gaming news and support us on Patreon!
