During the E3 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced a new 2D Metroid game called Metroid Dread. Metroid Dread is the first new 2D Metroid in over 19 years and will release October 8. Metroid Dread will also be getting Amiibos pictured below with the announcement trailer.
