The official Berserk Project Twitter Account delivered news today that shocks the entire anime and manga industry. Berserk creator Kentaro Miura passed away on May 6th due to an acute aortic dissection, a condition that affects the aorta branching off of the heart. The Berserk series was first prototyped by Miura in 1988 and began its official run via Hakusensha in 1989. Since then, the series received various games, anime, collaborations and praise across media. The world has lost an iconic creator in the entertainment industry and will be missed greatly.
