Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X|S are out now and players are also using controllers from the new consoles on PC. Valve has updated support for the DualSense controller for Steam on PC. However, DualSense features like rumble, the trackpad and gyro do not work on Steam currently. the latest update also fixes bugs with the Xbox Series X|S controller. Here are the patch notes:
Added initial input support for the PS5 DualSense controller. Advanced features such as rumble, trackpad, and gyro are not yet supported.
Fixed the Xbox Series X controller showing up as 2 separate controllers
Fixed some game manuals opening inside of the Steam client instead of in the user’s browser.
Fixed shelf dropdown rendering from displaying without a background.
Fix blank UI windows appearing at startup on some systems (steam-for-linux#7450)
