    Koei Tecmo shares more details about Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity including Link’s abilities and development

    Thanks to PushDustIn, we have more information translated regarding Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity! Some interesting tidbits about Link’s abilities were shared today which are welcoming to Breath of the Wild fans. In addition, Koei Tecmo mentions a sliver of Aonuma’s involvement in the project. Here are the details courtesy of GoNintendo:

    – the aim with the game’s visuals was to reproduce the style seen in Zelda: Breath of the Wild
    – the Sheikah Stone will act differently with each character
    – Zelda can perform Stasis on enemies
    – enemies have a weak point gauge for counter-attacks
    – you can pick up ingredients from treasure chests
    – in one part of the gameplay, you can see Impa throw a slate that activates a tower, as well as a mini-Guardian
    – Link can use the Sheikah Slate for remote bombs and the ice cube
    – Impa can summon multiple versions of herself, and she is seen using a Fire Rod at one point
    – weapons auto-guard sometime
    – each character presents a different playstyle
    – the team put a lot of focus on creating the world that existed 100 years before the events of Breath of the Wild
    – when the team finished the original Hyrule Warriors, they thought they were done with the collab
    – at this point, Eiji Aonuma approached the team and asked them to create another title, which lead to Age of Calamity
