Recently, Nvidia finally released an official statement following the RTX 3080’s launch on September 17th. It was an insane launch as RTX 3080 cards from Nvidia and partners were sold out instantly. According to the company, they had great supply but the demand surpassed it greatly to a level Nvidia has never seen before. It was simply their biggest GPU launch in the company’s history. Since that launch, Nvidia has re-enforced their store APIs to combat bots and resellers. GPU production has since increased to meet the overwhelming demand and restocks are on their way to retailers. This should give players a more fair chance at purchasing a RTX 3080 but that still remains to be seen. The RTX 3090 launches later this week on the 24th and demand is set to be very high. Hopefully, these issues might be remedied by the time the RTX 3070 launches in October.
