Game & Watch returns as a modernized Super Mario Bros.

Welcome back to the 80’s, because Nintendo is reintroducing Gunpei Yokoi’s classic Game & Watch line of handheld games-slash-watches with a Super Mario Bros. G&W unit. The unit physically features an LCD screen and the original D-Pad and two-button layout, for a nostalgic yet modern feel.

This sleek, golden handheld comes with both the original Super Mario Bros. game on NES and a clock function themed after the Mario series. Even the clock has 35 hidden secrets for you to find, in honor of the Mario series 35th anniversary. Not only that, but the Japanese version of Super Mario Bros. 2- known to us as The Lost Levels- and a Mario-themed update of the Game & Watch title Ball are packed in.

The Super Mario Bros. 35th Anniversary Game & Watch releases on November 13th, 2020. In the meantime, stay tuned at Final Weapon for more on Japanese gaming news and updates!
