Amazon has re-branded Twitch Prime to Prime Gaming as a way of streamlining their services under a single Prime umbrella. Prime Gaming now sits with Prime Video and Prime Reading while still maintaining the same benefits. When members visit their Twitch Prime page, it reads as Prime Gaming with the slogan “New Name, Same Great Benefits.” In addition, The Verge states that Amazon plans to enter cloud gaming in some form alongside services like GeForce Now. This service could be offered through Prime Gaming but that remains to be seen.
