State of Decay 2 has crossed 5 million players

State of Decay 2 had a rough launch. Numerous reports of frame rate issues and glitches even on Xbox One X were frequent. After some patches and fixes, it has retained a more stable and enjoyable experience ever since.

We learned back in November from Undead Labs that State of Decay 2 had crossed 4 million players.

In a recent interview with Polygon, Senior Desiger Quin Richards said, “We’re five million players, and we’re looking to grow.” The growth has definitely been steady.

Undead Labs is now a part of Microsoft Studios so the news of the jump in players is pretty great news for players and Microsoft.

If you haven’t had the chance to check it out and you’re an Xbox Game Pass subscriber, you can download it right now!

State of Decay 2 is the ultimate zombie survival game in an open world where you and up to three friends build a community of survivors. It’s up to you to establish a base, develop your characters’ abilities, and manage resources to survive as a group in a post-apocalyptic world where choices matter and every decision has lasting consequences.
