Ubisoft CEO confirms new projects and “experiments” in the works for the Splinter Cell series

Splinter Cell has been on hiatus as a game series for years now but that might change soon. According to Gameinformer, Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot elaborated on a new Splinter Cell project in the works and more. Guillemot stated that the pressure of delivering a new Splinter Cell game is too great. However, he clarified that he will be avoiding that pressure by taking the series in a different direction.

Here’s an excerpt from the Gameinformer article:

“There will be some new types of experiments,” Guillemot answered when asked specifically about Splinter Cell, “but on more different devices. We are working a little bit on the brand today to come back at one point. We can’t say when, because, as you know, it takes time. But each time we have to find the right experience to come back big.”
