Altina from Radiant Dawn joins Fire Emblem Heroes as the next Mythic Hero

Nintendo and Intelligent Systems have revealed the next Mythic Hero for Fire Emblem Heroes! Altina from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn joins the game for the upcoming Mythic Hero banner. Altina: Dawn’s Trueblade is capable of wielding Ragnell and Alondite in Fire Emblem Heroes as their true master. Various other heroes will be available for summoning in the Altina Mythic Hero banner. Resident Evil spirits are coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate on November 29th

Nintendo has announced that Resident Evil spirits are coming to Super Smash Bros Ultimate on November 29th! The spirits will be available in the Spirit Board for 5 days once the event begins. The spirits include Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine and Albert Wesker.

Facebook Acquires Beat Saber Developer Beat Games

Facebook has acquired Beat Saber developer Beat Games.  Mike Verdu, director of content for Facebook-owned Oculus, announced today on the official Oculus blog.

“Today we’re announcing that Beat Games is joining us in our quest to bring VR to more people around the world. They will join Oculus Studios as an independently operated studio in Prague, continuing to create new ways for people to experience music and VR gaming.” Verdu wrote.

Furthermore, in the Q&A part of the blog post, Verdu hinted that Facebook and Oculus aren’t done acquiring more game development studios.  And stated that acquiring Beat Games was only the start of their future plans.

“We’re exploring many ways to accelerate VR, and we think next year is going to be an incredible one of VR game launches and announcements. We are thrilled to have Beat Games join our team. This is just the beginning.” Verdu stated.

Beat Saber is a rhythm game that was released as an early access title in May 2018.  With the full version of the game releasing in May of this year, for PlayStation 4 and PC.  The game is compatible with PSVR, HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, and the recently released Oculus Quest.  The game was recently nominated for the best VR/AR Game for The Game Awards 2019.

Destiny 2: Season of Dawn reveal stream airs on December 4th

Its been almost a month and a half since Destiny 2: Shadowkeep and Season of the Undying released. The current season is coming to a close on December 10th and before its over, Bungie is going to reveal what’s in store for the Season of Dawn. The stream will air on December 4th on Twitch, Mixer and YouTube. In the stream, Bungie will reveal what the upcoming season is all about so expect:

  • New activities
  • New weapons and armor
  • New artifact/mods
  • New and refreshed season reward tiers
  • New exotics and much more

The Elder Scrolls: Blades has been delayed to early 2020 for Switch

Bethesda has announced that The Elder Scrolls: Blades has been delayed to early 2020 for Switch. This delay is due to a lot of changes currently being made to the game that will also be present in the Switch version. More details about the upcoming changes with update 1.5 are available here and here are the summed up details:

  • Chest timers are removed, meaning chests open once acquired
  • Major loot overhaul (more loot overall)
  • PvP Arena
  • Form and join guilds
  • Trading

Gust aims to raise the quality of the Atelier series, Atelier Ryza well received by fans

During the recent Atelier Fall Festival 2019 live stream, Koei Tecmo and Gust shared a few details regarding what’s next for the series. Gust states that Atelier Ryza was received well by fans for its theme of “summer and youth”. The company wants to raise the quality of the overall series and deliver more with each new entry. Atelier Ryza is the start of a fresh and driven mentality for Gust. In addition, Gust will continue to use clear themes for the Atelier series. Finally, all of this is due to the amount of feedback given by players and fans to Gust themselves.

Yakuza: Like a Dragon will have many returning characters

Yakuza 7 will have many returning characters according to Toshihiro Nagoshi. The latest broadcast shined some more light on this, so its important to note that this may be considered spoilers.

Nagoshi states that characters such as Goro Majima and Taiga Saejima will return for Yakuza 7. He laughs when talking about Daigo Dojima, remaining vague on his appearence in the game but still hints it. The game will continue to intertwine the Tojo Clan and happenings of Kamurocho.

John Woo’s Stranglehold is now on GOG

John Woo is one of the most influential action directors with films such as A better tomorrow, The Killer, Hard Boiled and Face/Off. However what you might not know is that he actually produced a sequel to Hard Boiled called Stranglehold. This underrated gem of a game was originally published by Midway in 2007 before they went under in 2009.

Persona 5 Scramble – Morgana Report 2: Sendai and character development

Atlus has released a new Morgana Report video for Persona 5 Scramble! The video details the city of Sendai and rumors, as well as character development features.

The city of Sendai is one of the first locations the Phantom Thieves visit after the Shibuya incident. Zenkichi Hasegawa warns the party that the police suspect that the Phantom Thieves are the ones behind the incident. The events of Persona 5 Scramble unfold after this as the Phantom Thieves investigate the other world known as “Jail,” solve the Shibuya case and incidents happening around Japan.

Persona 5 Scramble features RPG elements that strengthen each character and flush out the world.

  • BAND – bond strength for characters, allows stats to be enhanced
  • Master Arts – character specific actions. The more playtime a character gets, the more diverse their actions become
  • Shops return from Persona 5. Sophia sets up her own shops as well and local bargains are available.
