New story expansion for Fire Emblem: Three Houses releases on February 13th!

Today we got the reveal of the long awaited 5th fighter for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate – Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

But that’s not all! In a move most people seem to have missed, Nintendo slipped in a trailer after the presentation for the upcoming DLC expansion for Fire Emblem: Three Houses entitled “Cindered Shadows”

Not much is known, just that it will add a new fourth house to the game! Located in an area of Garreg Mach monestary called “Abyss”, the Ashen Wolves house hides without a teacher. It looks like players will be able to select and train them as well!

Super Smash Bros Ultimate Fighter Pass vol. 2 announced, includes 6 new characters

Smash director Masahiro Sakurai has announced that Fighter Pass vol. 2 is in development for Super Smash Bros Ultimate! These new characters will arrive by the end of 2021. Instead of 5 characters, 6 will be joining this time! In addition, the Ancient Soldier costume from Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be added as a bonus Mii Fighter costume.

Byleth joins Super Smash Bros Ultimate in Fighter Pack 5

Smash director Masahiro Sakurai has announced that Byleth from Fire Emblem: Three Houses will be the 5th DLC fighter for Super Smash Bros Ultimate! Both male and female versions will be in the game. Byleth wields 4 weapons from the game including the Sword of the Creator. Byleth comes with the Garreg Mach Monastery stage and several Fire Emblem: Three Houses tracks.

Touhou Spell Bubble announced for Switch, releases in February in Japan

Taito has announced a new Touhou Project game for Switch, Touhou Spell Bubble! This game is a rhythm puzzle game featuring many Touhou characters and music from throughout the series. Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on Switch will include instant style switching

A highly demanded feature for Devil May Cry 3 is finally being adopted with the new Switch version! Instant style switching will in fact be present in the game. Pressing one of the four d-pad buttons will change Dante’s fighting style to that assigned style in mid-combat. This will lead to some crazy combo potential! Dead or School seems to be heading to PS4 and Switch soon as Amazon UK has listed both versions of the game! The game will be published by Marvelous Europe in the region and most likely Marvelous and XSEED in the west. Here’s an overview of the game from the Amazon page:

Shenmue III DLC: Battle Rally releases on January 21st, features Ren Wuying as a playable character

Shenmue III is receiving some new DLC on January 21st named Battle Rally! This DLC features Ren Wuying as a playable character for the first time in the franchise along with Wei Zhen, Ryo’s training partner from Bailu Village. Here’s an overview of the DLC courtesy of Gematsu:

“Battle Rally” offers fresh gaming activities in a race unlike any other, as contestants engage in head-to-head battles whilst racing their way through the course.

Furthermore, for the first time in Shenmue III players will have the chance to step into the shoes of another protagonist! In addition to playing the hero of our story Ryo Hazuki, players can also choose the treasure-seeking Wuying Ren, and making her first appearance in this game, Ryo’s sparring partner, Wei Zhen.
