Fuse Games has released the first quality-of-life update for Star Wars: Galactic Racer. The update adds increased party sizes, new keyboard layout presets, and more.
The patch notes are as follows:
Increased Party size
Thanks to all those players who reached out to us to let us know that they wanted to share their experience of playing Star Wars: Galactic Racer with more of their friends in online multiplayer. We wanted to bring this update to you as soon as we possibly could.
The Party size in online multiplayer has been increased from 3 players to 6 players in this quality-of-life update. We can’t wait to see you challenge more of your friends in multiplayer Tours and hear your stories in our community spaces and watch along online.
Keyboard Layout Presets
We know that the lack of key re-binding support in the game is impacting the experience of our mouse & keyboard players. We’ve added multiple keyboard layout presets to support AZERTY keys and left/right-handed play as part of this update.
This is the first step towards addressing this feedback and one that we were able to implement quickly. Key rebinding support is on the horizon and will be included in a future update.
This quality-of-life update also includes the following:
-
- An increase to the number of credits you receive when you join mid-Tour in online multiplayer from 4,000 to 6,000.
- Transition tidy-ups for Spectator camera view in multiplayer.
- Removal of the option to ‘Exit the game’ in the multiplayer menu on PC to stop accidental quits.
- A number of party stability fixes.
- A fix for a PS5 connection issue.
- A fix for an issue that would cause an AMD Frame Interpolation game crash.
Star Wars: Galactic Racer is available today on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. Final Weapon reviewed Star Wars: Galactic Racer ahead of its release, and rated it a 4.5/5. We described it as “one of the strongest racing games to release in the past few years. While it stumbles a bit in the story due to its weak villain, it more than makes up for it with charming side characters, both new and old. From fantastic in-depth customization to the jaw-dropping visuals and music and incredibly strong gameplay, this is easily the new gold standard for Star Wars racers.”
