Digiphile has launched a new game collection, titled the “Orcatober Aquatic Horrors,” which is available until October 30 or while supplies last. A portion of the sales of the included games will go towards the Whale & Dolphin Conservation.
Those who purchase the $10 collection will get Steam keys for seven co–op and single player horror games. The included games are Layers of Fear, Voodoo Fishing, UMIGARI, Static Dread: The Submarine, Static Dread: The Lighthouse, Murky Divers, and Darkwater. The games included in the collection have a value of $94. Customers can add a special Charity Tier, or make a donation, where 100% of their contribution can go directly to the charity.
The Charity Tier includes select soundtracks, art books, and in-game cosmetics from the collection, plus commemorative artwork upon purchase. Customers who purchase the collection during its availability will have an extra 6 days to either upgrade to a higher tier, add bonus items, or buy an extra collection as a gift after the main offer ends. Further, Sally Ward, WDC’s Head of digital partnerships, comments on the collaboration:
“This Orcatober, games are helping us shine a spotlight on the horrors of whale and dolphin captivity. There are more than 3,700 whales and dolphins across the globe being held captive in concrete tanks for human entertainment. Life in a tank is a horror show for whales and dolphins and by purchasing this bundle you are helping WDC educate tourists and campaign against tour operators to stop supporting captive facilities. With your help we will make this the last generation of captive whales and dolphins.”
