Clear River Games has announced that 16-bit Quintet-developed action RPG Terranigma will release on January 14, 2027 for Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Terranigma will receive a physical release, with pre-orders now open at Clear River Games Shop.
The physical Terranigma Standard Edition will be available for $39.99 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, while the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition costs $44.99. There will also be a limited quantity edition with a foiled cover for the same prices while supplies last at the Clear River Games and Limited Run Games online stores. It’s worth noting that the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition includes the full Nintendo Switch game on cartridge with the upgrade pack.
A physical Terranigma SteelBook Edition will cost $64.99 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2, and a Gaia Edition will be available for $199.99. Gaia Edition contents include the SteelBook Edition, Yomi figurine, “Pandora’s Box” music box, a 200-page art book, an enamel pixel pin, an original soundtrack CD in a jewel case, and a cloth world map.
Terranigma will feature several quality-of-life additions, including a new Arranged Mode. Arranged Mode lets players take advantage of various adjustments, including increased magic damage, a new mini map, and the ability to save anywhere. There will also be a CRT filter, multiple aspect ratios, and several additional features.

A playable demo of Terranigma is available at the Happinet booth at Tokyo Game Show 2026, which runs from September 17 through September 21 at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan.
