Genshin Impact Version 7.1 ‘A Rekviem for the Underworld’ Launches on September 23

HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact Version 7.1 “A Rekviem for the Underworld” will launch on September 23. It will feature two new 5-star characters and the return of the Moonchase Festival in Liyue.

In Version 7.1’s Archon Quest, the crisis in Snezhnaya continues to escalate. Players will confront the Tsaritsa, Ronova, the Ruler of Death, Rhinedottir, the Ruler of Life. The quest will feature a climactic fight alongside Snezhnaya against Ronova. She will also appear as a new Weekly Boss. Further, completing the new Archon Quest will grant Primogems ×620. Players will also be able to take on special assignments issued by the Tsaritsa’s Confidential Secretary. Two new 5-star playable characters, Vesna and Vodyanitsa, will be available in the new version.

The youngest Commander in Druzhna history, Vesna is known for her unwavering loyalty to the Tsaritsa and joins the roster as a 5-star Anemo Sword wielder. As a Vila, she is also able to take flight during exploration of the open world. Players can also experience a special anecdote featuring Vesna to unlock a unique appearance for her sword spirit companion. Vodyanitsa is the Prima Donna of Snezhnograd’s Korolevskiy Troupe, as well as a kind-hearted Water Imp and 5-star Hydro Catalyst wielder. While exploring the open world, Vodyanitsa can remain in her Water Imp form and move freely even outside the water. Players can learn more about her through a story featuring Vodyanitsa and obtain a unique appearance for her microphone as a reward. Skirk and
Escoffier will return in the second phase of the new version.

The long-awaited Moonchase Festival will also return to Liyue after five years. Yilong Wharf has been transformed for the festivities, but beneath the celebrations lies a mystery from the past that even Zhongli and Zibai have yet to unravel.
