LEVEL-5 has confirmed that Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain, the remake of Nintendo 3DS RPG Yo-kai Watch 2, is coming to PlayStation 5 and PC (Steam) alongside the previously announced Nintendo Switch 2 version. Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain will release with new features, including new Yo-kai and story content, and the game’s official website is now live.
“We’re keeping everything that made Yo-kai Watch 2 so special while completely revamping the graphics!,” said LEVEL-5 following its initial announcement of Yo-kai Watch 2: Haunted Domain. “We’re also hard at work developing new features, including additional story content and new Yo-kai!”
Development of a Yo-kai Watch game was confirmed back in July 2023 to celebrate the launch of the Yo-kai Watch 10th anniversary website. LEVEL-5 CEO Akihiro Hino thanked fans for their continued support and said it was too soon for a reveal.
The latest title in the long-running Yo-kai Watch series is Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yokai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu. Yo-kai Watch Jam: Yokai Academy Y – Waiwai Gakuen Seikatsu released on August 13, 2020 for Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 in Japan, and the game is not available in the west.
