CD Projekt Red joint-CEO Michał Nowakowski has confirmed that The Witcher IV will release in 2028. Before The Witcher IV releases in 2028, fans of the series will be able to play The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past expansion in 2027. CD Projekt Red will also have a booth at Gamescom 2026 with another look at The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Songs of the Past. The Witcher IV will not be present at Gamescom 2026.
The soundtrack for the official trailer for The Witcher IV, most notably “No Gods, Only Monsters” by composer P.T. Adamczyk, is now streaming on YouTube, Spotify, and other music streaming services. CD PROJEKT RED also opened pre-orders for The Witcher Lynx Medallion, which costs $48.00 in the CD PROJEKT RED Gear store.
CD PROJEKT RED officially announced The Witcher IV at The Game Awards 2024. Taking place after The Witcher III: Wild Hunt, this is a new single-player open-world RPG starring Ciri. This will mark a new saga for the franchise, and it is developed in Unreal Engine 5. Platforms and a release date has not been announced, however.
