Streaming platform Amasian TV has announced that it will stream twenty episodes of the anime adaptation of the manga Chiikawa for free, with no subscription required. Alongside Chiikawa, the anime Gunma-chan and the second and third seasons of Hyakushō Kizoku will be streamed in the future, the result of an agreement with Japan International Broadcasting.
Chiikawa is being streamed with Japanese audio and English subtitles. Amasian TV focuses on Asian content from Korea, Japan, and China. It began offering Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood for free in March 2026.
The Chiikawa anime series first premiered in April 2022 on Fuji TV. A new series premiered on July 15 2026. Sentai Filmworks licensed the anime. HIDIVE is streaming the anime series with English subtitles outside Japan. It is based on the manga by Nagano.
The cast of Chiikawa includes child actress Haruka Aoki as Chiikawa, child actor Makoto Tanaka as Hachiware, and Ari Ozawa as Usagi.
