SEGA has announced that, as part of a collaboration with Wendy’s, a special Kids Meal themed around Sonic the Hedgehog is available until September. It will feature collectible trading cards, 35 of which are available.
These are available as part of the ongoing Sonic the Hedgehog 35th anniversary, and feature characters such as Sonic himself, Tails, Knuckles, Silver, Amy, Shadow, and Rouge, among many more. These are available at participating Wendy’s U.S. locations alongside a Kids Meal order. Those who visit can get one of seven collectible Sonic character card cases, each featuring a different character design and five Sonic the Hedgehog trading cards.
Recently, SEGA unveiled its Sonic the Hedgehog: Memories and Beyond 35th anniversary short film during Anime Expo 2026. A sneak peek trailer for Sonic the Hedgehog: Memories and Beyond was released to give fans a preview before the short film premieres in fall 2026.

Dr. Eggman’s new evil scheme is to upgrade Metal Sonic into the ultimate fighting machine by stealing Sonic’s life-data and harnessing the power of the Chaos Emeralds. Sonic and his friends realize that to defeat Metal Sonic they must rely on the friendship they built through their adventures.
The Sonic the Hedgehog 4 feature-length film will follow up and premiere in theaters on March 19, 2027. A majority of the cast from the previous films will reprise their roles. This includes Ben Schwartz as Sonic, Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, Idris Elba as Knuckles, Colleen O’Shaughnessey as Tails, James Marsden as Tom, Tika Sumpter as Maddie, Keanu Reeves as Shadow, and Lee Majdoub as Agent Stone. As previously announced, Kristen Bell will play the role of Amy Rose.
