The BLUE LOCK Production Committee have announced that the anime has been named as a sub-sponsor of the U-12 Junior Soccer World Challenge 2026. As part of the sponsorship, a BLUE LOCK Award and an original trophy will be presented as supplementary prizes at the tournament.
The event will take place at the Fukuda Denshi Field, Fukuda Denshi Square, and JFA Yume Field in Chiba, Japan from August 21 to 24. It is an 11-a-side soccer tournament for U-12 players (born on or after January 1, 2014). There are 40 teams total. As part of the collaboration, Bibs and drawstring bags featuring the BLUE LOCK logo will also be distributed as novelty items to cheer on the participating teams and players.
Recently, to celebrate BLUE LOCK Day on June 9 (JST) and the FIFA World Cup, new details about BLUE LOCKSeason 3 were revealed. This includes the anime’s NEO EGOIST LEAGUE subtitle, character profiles for Yoichi Isagi and Michael Kaiser, and the release of a new promotional video and teaser visual. The BLUE LOCK -Episode Nagi-spinoff manga released in June 2022 and will finally be ending after three years, in August 2025. The BLUE LOCK –Episode Nagi- spinoff anime film opened in April 2024, and the anime’s second adaptation, BLUE LOCK vs. U-20 JAPAN, premiered in October 2024. The anime adaptation of both the original series and the spinoff are streaming on Crunchyroll.
Lastly, the live-action BLUELOCK film adaptation will open on August 7 in Japan. TOHO is distributing the film, and renowned Japanese singer-songwriter Ado performs the film’s theme song “Monstro,” with lyrics by ryo (supercell) and composition/arrangement by Giga and Teddyloid.
