Ubisoft has announced that Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced reached 2 million copies sold worldwide on its first day following the July 9 launch. In addition to reaching 2 million copies sold, Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced ranked No. 1 on Twitch on launch day and reached a peak of 99,451 concurrent players on Steam within its first 24 hours, which is the highest concurrent player count ever recorded for an Assassin’s Creed title on the platform.
“Black Flag has always held a special place in the heart of the community, and ours.” said Martin Schelling, Head of Assassin’s Creed Brand. “Bringing it back with Resynced was a promise to that passion for Edward’s adventures, and to the unique sense of freedom players experienced back then. Seeing 2 million players set sail on day one, along with the great reviews from critics, is the greatest reward we could have hoped for.”
Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. Final Weapon reviewed Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced and gave it a 4.5/5 score, describing it as an “absolutely fantastic remake.”
