The story of The Villager of Level 999 focuses on Koji Kagami, a villager capped at level 999 in the world of Earthclear. Through his time with her, Kagami discovers that they share the same goal of having a peaceful coexistence between humans and demons.

On a monster hunt, he meets Alice, the Demon King’s daughter, and discovers they share an impossible dream: coexistence between humans and demons. In a world destined for conflict, they charge into battle to defy fate and shatter the rules.
